RESEARCH
The Industrial Electronics Department develops several Research & Development projects, privileging close relations to the industry. The department has facilities both at Braga (Gulbenkian) and at Guimarães (campus of Azurém). The Department's R&D activity and projects are centered around the following areas:
- Electronics and Instrumentation.
- Control and Automation.
- Power Electronics.
- Industrial Informatics.
The Industrial Electronics Department disposes of three workshops and several laboratories to support research:
- Printed Circuits Processing Workshop
- Mechanical Workshop
- Electronics Workshop
- Laboratory of Microprocessors and Microcomputers
- Laboratory of Image Processing and Artificial Vision
- Laboratory of Industrial Informatics, Automation and Robotics
- Laboratory of Electronics and Instrumentation
